BIRTHDAY PARTIES 

 

Package #1 -  (Up to 10 children) - $300 - 2 ponies/horses for 1 hour of riding.  Use of picnic area for 1 hour. Finger Paint the ponies (actually paint right onto the ponies, very fun!) - This is our base price.

 

Package #2 - (Up to 15 children) - 3 ponies/horses for 1 hour of riding.  Use of picnic area for 1 hour - $325

 

Timeline of party:

-Arrival/releases signed

-Barn and horse safety rules, hand out helmets-approximately 30 mins

-Riding in the indoor arena-1 hour

-Craft-approximately 30 mins.

-Cake/snacks either in the picnic area or inside depending on weather-1 hour

 

Optional add ons:  

     Extra child/adult over 15 - $20 each

    

 Extra hour of picnic area - $10 an hour

    

 You can bring your own food, cake, etc.  We do have a small kitchen area with a fridge to store things while kids ride

 

FIELDTRIPS/GIRL SCOUTS/BOY SCOUTS

 

Cost is $40 per person with checks made out to Avalon Horse Farm.

 

Here is our basic plan for your visit with us. Plan for 2-3 hours.

 

I. Arrival, registration, introductions, safety rules, assign riders to horses.

II.  Groom and tack horses - girl scouts learn about grooming tools, saddle and bridle parts

III.  Divide into groups - Alternate activities

     A.  Ride first; learn body parts and craft

     B. Learn body parts and craft; ride second

IV.  Untack horses, groom, feed carrots, return horses to stalls

V.  Receive learning folders, snack, departure

 

We will randomly assign riders to their groups.  

 

 We do have a large number of riding helmets for use.  Everyone should wear close toed shoes to the farm.  Those riding would be better to have boots with a heel. We also recommend long pants.
